Peppermint Oil Benefits
(5 Amazing Benefits for your Health)

Some peppermint oil benefits include it's ability to treat nausea, indigestion, chest congestion, stress, headaches, bowel disorders, and stomach pain. But, it is often used in massage therapy to relax the mind as well as relax tight, tension-filled muscles.

Because it contains menthol, menthone, and menthyl esters, peppermint oil has been known for centuries as a healing, medicinal herb, especially for digestive issues..

It is found in many everyday products used in our homes, like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, chewing gum, tea and ice cream.

Common Peppermint Oil Benefits

Peppermint oil provides benefits that few oils have. Considered one of the best oils around, due to it's health benefits for the human body, it has been scientifically studied and proven to be beneficial for:

  1. Nausea - Peppermint oil, added to a carrier oil (read about the best massage oils used as carrier oil), and rubbed on the forehead or back of the neck, can help alleviate nausea and stomach upset
  2. Indigestion - Many use a few drops of peppermint oil in a glass of water to relieve the pain of indigestion. It is well known for it's ability to calm a gas filled-stomach, as well as help with motion sickness and stomach cramps.
  3. Chest congestion - Because of it's high content of menthol, this is an oil often used for respiratory problems. It is a natural expectorant, and provides relief of nasal problems, chest congestion, sinusitis, bronchitis, and many other breathing illnesses.
  4. Stress - Like many pure essential oils, peppermint provides stress relief to the mind, and also the body. When used in a carrier oil, peppermint oil calms tired, overworked muscles. It can be placed on a wash cloth, and inhaled for an instant calming of the nervous system.
  5. Pain Relief - Because of a high amount of calcium antagonism, peppermint oil is known for it's ability to instantly cool areas of pain. It is often used for headache, fever, muscle spasms, pulled muscles, and migraines.

Many also use peppermint oil to help remove head lice and dandruff. It has also been known to help with oily skin problems like acne.

Spa uses for peppermint oil in hand and foot massage treatments  provide a refreshing, cooling effect, and revitalize the muscles of the arms and legs. Many therapists also use it with clients who are experiencing congestion and sinus issues.

Because it contains many nutrients and minerals, like magnesium, calcium, iron, potassium and copper, peppermint oil capsules and tablets are now being sold as supplements.

Peppermint Essential Oil  is one of the highest rated oils for massage therapy and aromatherapy treatments.

About Me

A few things about me and the creation of Massage Education Guide....

After 20 years of practicing massage, I decided to create an online resource for people who want to learn about massage, and how to relax our minds to release anxiety and stress.

I have had many clients come for massage, only to discover they just needed to talk, or they needed to cry, and let go of pain or worry, or stress, in a place they felt safe

Life has changed a lot over the past 6 months, and going to a spa may not be an option financially, or even safe, with social distancing guidelines.

Finding a way to relax our minds, and release stress and tension at home, is critical for a healthy immune system, as we find our way through this pandemic.

I've created a spa recipe book, filled with easy at-home spa ideas, to help you relax and release stress from your body at home.

Now, because of this virus, I teach folks about the benefits of massage products, essential oils, body scrubs, bath bombs, and other make-at-home goodies that help us de-stress in the comfort and safety of home ... to relax the mind and body, and make life so much better!

What's my passion? Massage therapy always and forever is my love, but helping people learn how to relax at home, is a very close second!

So, let's learn how to  relax, to release stress, and rock this pandemic together!

Solo Build It!
