The Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics, Inc. (ASSTI), was founded in 1982 by Herbert and Ruth Ann Hobbs. It is located in Alexandria, Indiana, a small town in Eastern Central Indiana. It is the oldest massage school in Indiana and they exclusively teach massage therapy.
The school has ten instructors with a combined 130 years experience. Education includes classes in Physiology, Anatomy, Acupressure, Nutrition, Infant Massage, Sports Massage, and Business Management. You will be taught many massage techniques, which will provide a skill set when you are entering the massage therapy profession. Detailed curriculum includes more than 600 hours of training.
The school is accredited by COMTA, Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation, and is affiliated with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
